我們在寫比較正式的文章的時候都會列出參考資料，如 APA 格式要引用書時就有固定的格式，比方說 (林小明，民 108，頁 32) 就是中文引用的例子。剛剛忽然想到：那電子書怎麼辦呢？

我現在都習慣看電子書，電子書的字體大小、行距是可調的，所以沒有固定的頁碼，那要引用時該怎麼表達？剛剛調字體大小時忽然想到電子書引用的問題，搜尋一下，發現人家在 10 年前就已經寫好答案了。
書末參考文獻
在書末的參考文獻比較簡單，直接寫從哪裡取得 (如 Amazon.com)，或是附上 DOI (digital object identifier, 數位物件識別碼) 即可。可以的話加上電子閱讀器的版本，因為 Kindle & Kindle DX 的頁碼就會有點不一樣。
(其實 Amazon 在 2011 年就已經讓 Kindle 中的頁碼與紙本書完全一致了，所以在 Kindle 這一點比較不是問題。)
格式：
Author, A. A. (Year). Title of work [E-reader version, if applicable]. Retrieved from http://xxxxx
例子：
Gladwell, M. (2008). Outliers: The story of success [Kindle DX version].
Retrieved from Amazon.com

你可能會覺得上面例子的 DOI 有點怪怪的，DOI 格式不是應該像底下這樣嗎：
● doi:10.1036/007142363X
● http://dx.doi.org/10.1036/007142363X
上述兩種 DOI 呈現方法是舊格式，新版 DOI 改用 https:// 開頭，網址中的 dx. 也不見了，與舊版格式不太相同，改用新版會比較好。
前面提到的是整本書引用，但如果是眾人合輯，文章祇有用到其中一章，那就祇列出那一章的標題即可：
格式：

上面提到的是書末參考文獻的格式，這都算簡單。最討厭的是如果要在文章中引用的怎麼辦？
在文章中引用電子書內容
如果要在內文引用電子書可以選擇以下三種方式之一 (參考 section 6.05 of the Publication Manual, pp. 171–172)：
- a paragraph number, if provided; alternatively, you can count paragraphs down from the beginning of the document;
- an overarching heading plus a paragraph number within that section;
- an abbreviated heading (or the first few words of the heading) in quotation marks, in cases in which the heading is too unwieldy to cite in full.
也就是說，如果是一篇短文，你可以自己數一數要用引的是第幾段；如果是一本書中的一段，那就附上章、節 & 要引用的段落在哪一段，這樣就可以了。
看一個例子：
One of the author’s main points is that “people don’t rise from nothing” (Gladwell, 2008, Chapter 1, Section 2, para. 5).
